Description

You are bidding on a large sample with a fracture surface lined with several different minerals. Hodgkinsonite is fairly common at Sterling Hill as minute groups of crystals, but larger, separate crystal groups like these are very rare. Hundreds of these pink crystal groups are lining the fracture with filiform, unusual growths of calcite, brown balls of kraisslite, tiny hetaerolite and sparse thin hexagonal plates of pyroaurite. This is a very good and very rich sample of hodgkinsonite from Sterling Hill from the Ted Bartels collection.
