Description

Intense green uvarovite with black chromite microcrystals on massive chromite surface (+ unknown light brown mineral). Uvarovite from Greece is rare especially in crystals of any size. Specific specimen is from the dump of a small open pit opened before WWII in search for chromite ore. This locality is the only one in Greece where chromite is found as pocket crystals (microcrystals).
