Description

Uvarovite from Greece is very rare and known from two localities. One is an old surface dig done during WWII at a small chromite occurence on a hillside at Ano Virsini village area vrey close to Greek-Bulgarian border. Specimens are very hard to find and rarely reach the market. This is a very rich specimen of uvarovite microcrystals with clinochlore on chromite matrix from my recent trip to collect specimens at the locality.A must for a systematic garnet collection.
