Description

A very interesting case of smithsonite from Lavrion mines.At front we see a cluster of what looks like botryoidal smithsonite but is actually intergrown crystals that form botryoidal shapes and clusters.Second generation elongated smithsonite microcrystals of lighter color are set on botryoidals.Back side of specimen is also smithsonite of different color that pseudomorph dissolved gypsum crystals.Very interesting and unusual.
