Description

Uvarovite garnet is extremely rare from Greece.This specimen is from a small find i did in an abadoned chromite mine operated back in WWII at Polikarpi area.Uvarovite is as thin films (probably of microcrystals) with pale purple kammererite (both minerals analysed) filling cracks in chromite ore. Interesting specimen for garnet collectors due to rare locality.
