Description

This specimen is in the original condition. After removing some traceys of matrix the specimen would be more showy. Nevertheless this garnet group has a remarkable color. Normally Almandine from Ötztal is very dark red to black. This here is deep red. And some edges are translucent. Hard to find such color from that location on the market. It is for sure from an old find and comes with the original label. I guess it is by far more than 100 years old.
