Description

First-class specimen richly decorated with brownish-yellow thick-lathy rutherfordine crystals on matrix. The specimen shows countless elongated brown crystals of elongated shape in several areas. Between the Rutherfordine areas, the specimen is richly covered with yellow uranophane and orange curite crystal aggregates. It is not only the quality of the Rutherfordine that makes this specimen special, but also the combination of several minerals (curite and uranophane) of the best formation. Practically the entire surface of the specimen – nearly 5 centimetre - is completely covered.

This is a high-quality specimen – rarely offered.

The specimen originally came from the renowned collection of the famous French collector Gilbert GAUTHIER, from whom it came to the collection of Luc VANDENBERGHE (Belgium), longtime mindat member and famous Belgian u-mineral collector. Specimen of a very well-kept collection with great provenience.
