Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Adam Heber Mine, Neustädtel, Schneeberg, Erzgebirge, Saxony, Germany
Class:
Crystals on Matrix
Size Range:
Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
5 × 2.6 × 2.8 cm
Description

Fine specimen richly decorated with light greenish yellow metarauchite crystals on matrix. The metarauchite is mostly intergrown with meta-zeunerite and is easily recognizable (at this specimen!). The yellowish layer of metarauchite (located in the center) is in a sandwich of light green, typically formed meta-zeunerite. In the second picture, I marked the metarauchite area with blue squares surrounded by meta-zeunerite.

Comes from a classic German deposit. Investigated specimen.

In addition to the mine, the exact location where it was found is given on the label: Adam Heber Flacher, 80 m depth, found in 2003.
