Description

A wonderful stalactic sphalerite with scalenohedral calcite crystals from the Tri-State Lead Mining District, Joplin, Missouri, USA.

This fine specimen features two spires of sphalerite, showing some of the coveted blue iridescence the area is known for. Small scalenohedral calcite crystals spray off in all directions.

Cleaves showing on several calcite crystals but overall in great condition.
