Description

Nice golden metallic goethite found in the mine "confessionals", an oxide with botroidal morphology (thanks to the natural outcrops of gossan found there). This iridescent goethite has an orthorhombic crystalline system and the mine from which it was extracted was a massive sulfide deposit belonging to the Huelva pyrite belt. Today this open pit mine is flooded and the surrounding areas are reforested.
