The current mine "Marienschacht" was known as Mina "Kuppel", and it was in 1925 when it began to be called Mina "Marienschacht"; It was closed in 1979 and was characterized mineralogically speaking because it produced cubic crystals and rare octahedra of violet fluorite of an intense purple, difficult to find, slightly translucent, vitreous and brittle, with an isometric crystalline system, like those of the sample, which besides fluorite, it has crystals of calcite of vitreous brilliance, trigonal crystalline system, very bright, a carbonate of low hardness and highly reactive towards acids, usually in the form of rhombohedra or prismatic with scalenohedral terminations; Pyrite crystals are also appreciated, a mineral of metallic shine, opaque, isometric crystalline system, pale yellow color and pentagonal cubic or dodecahedral morphology, although octahedral ones have been found, red quartz crystals are also appreciated by inclusions of hematite, as well as other not identified, all on matrix. A nice piece to enjoy under a microscope.
