Weishanite is a very rare gold-silver amalgam, which had two localities. Recent investigations of a unknown metallic hexagonal phase on an old sample hosting verified magnolite showed that this is Weishanite in beautiful hexagonal crystals.
I have not even seen a picture from this mineral in the past. And I am happy to offer a sample for sale in my current auction.
This report illustrates that historical material often needs to be reexamined. In this case it was possible to find a very interesting mineral in magnificent crystals.
