After a long time preparing it, we are happy to be offering here on e-Rocks the B. Florin collection.
B. Florin was a knowledgeable Swiss collector. He was specialised in Swiss localities, but specialized in choice specimens, odd quartz shapes and inclusions. As his collection was mostly assembled between the 50s and the 70s - when the Swiss road system was significantly implemented - he has access to specimens whose localities are now largely either defunct or restricted. One key feature of his collection was that, with only a few exceptions, his specimens were glued on custom made wooden bases, which he would also paint one by one. All specimens in his collections were balanced aesthetically, as they would display best.
We will be periodically offering the specimens, starting on April 1st.
