A little bit of excitement for a new discovery/identification of bazzite in the Western Alps, Piedmont, Italy.

Usually highly sought after by collectors, bazzite is a rare scandium rich type of beryl usually small with a charateristic strong baby blue colour.

This find has been made at Balma Oro quarry, Montoso, Bagnolo Piemonte, Cuneo Province, Piedmont, Italy

Collector Giuseppe Finello posted the analysis and this great photo of a specimen.
