In our current TVM auction we have added a few specimens from the Warren Taylor collection.
We have known Warren for 15 years and have handled and advised on the disposal of a great number of his minerals since 2007.
Within our database we have set up a reference to noted collectors, (old) dealers and institutions; so when completed can be shared to individual specimens, which in turn are listed under under the collector.
If you look at TVM501922 Cerussite you will see a Provenance Tab in the description, this gives details for the Warren Taylor collection and links to look up information about the collection, labels, photos and other specimens etc.
Shortly we will run a data update for all our historic data to include archive items from this collection, or any other provenance added.
As this feature is now available it will be great to see other provenance/labels on the database, so to get another perspective of this important side of collecting.
Also worth mentioning on Warren's behalf is the upcoming sale of his Rainbow of Africa collection (mostly cut stones) via Heritage Auctions on 15th October.
The HA website will tell you the background - I am privileged to have previously seen this collection in person.
These are some of the finest and most unusual cut stones I have seen.
