Back to Work

Content image: Back to Work

As we head towards Twelfth Night and the final demise of Christmas trees worldwide, we have got back to work with quite a bump.

Over the last few days we have been finalising a very large software release and plan to get this deployed in the next week or so. We will let you know when this is happening and tell you what to look out for.

The e-Rocks Christmas/New Year programme continues with the "pulling" of the Christmas Cracker tonight.

During the holidays we didn't do much more than the necessary e-Rocks administration tasks, though I did get round to repairing the above tourmaline crystal.

The poor thing had traveled back from Munich Show with me in 2006 for our inaugural Christmas Cracker Auction, sadly en route the main and side crystal parted company.

As other things happened I put it to one side in the office to repair, it was then sidelined, eventually tidied away through several generations of tidying, and ended up in a box at the back of the shed labelled "Misc Desk Stuff".

Before Christmas we were tidying up and George spotted the 2 part specimen and suggested it was about time I did something about it!

I returned it to my desk and made the promise it would be repaired and "go on air" over the Christmas break.

So 11 years late you will find our Otjimbojo rubellite (tourmaline) online, nearly as good as new and marked "repaired".

Hopefully 2018 will mean journey's end and better appreciation for this lost rock!
